We have already sold more advance tickets for Chevelle than we have for any previous show at TicketAlternative. Less than 425 tickets are left. It is on pace to sellout a week prior to the show.

However, casual fans wouldn't know it, but Corey Smith's show is only trailing Chevelle by 13 tickets. It also will easily sellout in advance. Corey Smith is a huge draw for the college crowd. Considering Chevelle is Wednesday-March 24, then Thursday is Chrome's biggest night with an average of 900, and Corey Smith is Friday-March 26... it will be week to celebrate for Chrome.

I'm in shock to see just how much celeb back-patting and glad-handing goes on at the Oscars these days. The ceremony moved into an elevated new phase of brown nosing last year with those saccharine monologues that the presenter rained down on each nominee prior to opening the envelope.

Also, having ten Best Picture nods seems like it will only serve to grease up the machine for churning out more mediocrity.

As much as I enjoyed AVATAR, I was glad to see that the Academy didn't let it run away with every award based simply on what a grand achievement it was.

I was glad to see THE HURT LOCKER do so well. I was particularly glad to see the stellar editing done by Murawski and Innis recognized as the best of the year.

Cristoph Waltz was THE principle reason I watched this year. So, I'm happy...
