The Miss Bristol, Miss Tri Cities, and Miss Mountain Lakes Scholarship Pageants are preliminaries to the annual Miss Tennessee Scholarship Program . In turn, Miss Tennessee is the official state preliminary to the Miss America Program.
Award certificates will go to the top talent, interview, swimsuit, and evening gown winners.

Bluegrass music got more than it bargained for when the 2012 IBMA awards show opened by unveiling an unprecedented collaboration between a quintet of the genre’s greatest and most admired talents. Dubbed The Masters of Bluegrass, the five musicians—J.D. Crowe, Bobby Hicks, Del McCoury, Jerry McCoury and Bobby Osborne—bring to the stage a creative fire stoked by literally centuries’ worth of experience and partnerships that have encompassed every aspect of the music’s fabled history.

Saturday, Feb. 2nd at 7:30pm: Symphony of the Mountains presents CATCH A RISING STAR
The 2012 Elizabeth Harper Vaughn Concerto Competition winner, Julliard student and Abingdon native Zachary Hughes will perform with Symphony of the Mountains as the Symphony makes its much anticipated return to the Paramount Center for the Arts. Repertoire will include Gioacchino Rossini’s “L’Italiana in Algeri: Overture,” Mozart’s “Piano Concert No. 27, K. 595, B-flat major” and Mendelssohn’s “Symphony No. 3, The Scottish.”
