If you liked "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "Lord of the Rings," chances are good you'll fall in love with LampLight Theatre's newest production, opening Valentine's Day with a special Sweetheart Buffet.
Told in "Cirque du Soleil" fashion, "Imanol's Epiphany" uses fanciful costuming, set design, lighting, puppetry and inspirational music to bring to life the story of Imanol, who is called upon by The Father to look upon the world, in a spectacle that encompasses the entire theater.
Audiences will experience the creation of the world through the fall of mankind and, in the Kingdoms of the Magi, discover just how far man has fallen from God's intended purpose. When all hope seems lost, LampLight's mesmerizing original account ends with Imanol's great epiphany.
"Imanol's Epiphany" premieres Feb. 14 at the Fall Branch theatre. Doors open at 6 p.m., and a Sweetheart Buffet -- featuring hors d'oeuvres, croissants, fruit, cheeses and desserts -- will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m., followed by the show at 7:15 p.m.
Cost for the buffet and performance is $20 per person. Reservations are required. Show-only tickets (no meal) are also available, with a suggested donation of $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 and younger.
Additional non-dinner theatre performances will be held at 7 p.m., Feb. 15; 2 and 7 p.m., Feb. 16; and 3 p.m., Feb. 17. Doors open one hour prior to performances. Admission is a suggested donation of $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 and younger; special rates are available for groups of 20 or more.
For reservations or more information, call the LampLight box office at (423) 348-7610 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or visit www.lamplighttheatre.com.
