Major Dude is made of a group of local musicians who take pride in delighting audiences with their varied musical styles. Their collection of music is an eclectic blend of R&B, soft rock, jazz, blues and soul.
The band features songs from the libraries of Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Maze, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Marc Brousaard, Smokey Robinson, and Emerson, Lake, & Palmer, among other popular artists.
Audiences have come to enjoy their performances for the variety of their music, exuberant stage show, and their excellent musicianship. Listeners of all ages and musical taste find something to enjoy!
Major Dude has performed at several regional and local venues, including Cahootnanny's, 112, Blue Plum, and O'Mainnin's. The band will soon be appearing at the following venues:
1. "Mistybluesnjazz" 232 East Main Street Johnson City, TN - September 3rd at 8 PM, $5 Door Cover
2. "Good Samaritan Performing Arts Festival" located at the Amphitheatre by the Johnson City Public Library- This performance is a fund raiser held the 2nd Saturday of each month. Major Dude will be there September 10th. Good Samaritan is asking for a donation for this event to support this EXCELLENT local community Ministry.
