This time of year everyone is beginning to breathe a sigh of relief, fall is in the air, it is time to slow down. After a summer full of outdoor activities and kid things…it is time to relax and laugh a little.
So, lookout backward hat man, Tim Wilson is coming back to town with his newest offering on Capitol Records, The Real Twang Thang!
Wilson will make an appearance at Bristol’s Paramount Theatre on Friday, October 26, 2012 @ 8:00 PM. Wilson is always a crowd pleaser with his timely humor and off-beat songs. “Tim’s act never gets old, because he sees humor in everything. Because of that uncanny ability his show always is new and relevant to what is going on in the world today. He keeps his audience in stitches,” said Darlene Cole, Venue Manager for the City of Bristol. The city regularly produces programming in the arts center as explained by Cole, “Sometimes agencies call us wanting to do shows in Bristol, but Viking Hall is just too large, so it only makes sense for us to utilize the Paramount. As everyone knows it is our crown jewel in the downtown area, it’s so beautiful and the folks there are so easy to work with and have talented skill sets. We never hesitate to bring a show to the venue.”
Bengt Washburn will be opening for Wilson. Originally from Utah, Bengt grew up the youngest son in a small Mormon family (7 kids) in a large Utah town (2,000 people). He has won the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He has been invited to perform at the Boston Comedy Festival, The Vancouver International Comedy Festival and the Aspen Laff Festival where his performance was broadcast live on XMSirius Radio.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, September 15, 2012 online on the Paramount website. Click on the E-Tix icon or stop by the Paramount Center Box Office during regular office hours and pick up your tickets.
