The Appalachian Ballet Company presents the Nutcracker With The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Saturday, Dec. 1st - 8pm and Sunday, Dec. 2nd - 2pm at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium, Knoxville, TN, and Saturday, December 8th at 2pm and 8pm Clayton Center for the Arts, Maryville, TN.
The Appalachian Ballet Company in their 41st season will present the annual holiday tradition - The Nutcracker. The production features live music by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. The Appalachian Ballet Company will present four public shows December 1st at 8 pm & December 2nd at 2 pm at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium AND December 8th at 2pm and 8pm at the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville. Two
school matinees will be presented at 10 am at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium on November 29th and 30th. Those attending will receive the new K-8 curriculum guide covering common core standards. Teachers may call 982-8463 for reservations.
Dancing the role of the Nutcracker Prince will be Aaron Smyth, formerly with the Royal Ballet, London, England. He will be partnering ballerina Kylie Morton, the Sugarplum Fairy, formerly with North Carolina Dance Theatre.
