Got my Racks by the Tracks tickets. Got my Fun Fest concert tickets. Now what?
Well, I’m certainly not going to sit around for the next couple of weeks and do nothing. (Though after the last couple of weeks, it would certainly be nice!)
First off, there is a ton of great stuff going on at the Barter right now. You can catch “Alice in Wonderland” through April 17, “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” through April 11, “The Diary of Anne Frank” through April 17 and “Chaps!” through April 22. Pretty much the entire season is awesome, though. So, keep up at www.bartertheatre.com for more ideas as the year goes on.
In other theatre news, Blue Moon Dinner Theatre in Johnson City is currently showing “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s” through April 17. You can find all the details at www.bluemoondinnertheatre.com. Tickets are $39.99 for general admission with a discount for military/ seniors/ students.
Another super cool event (and I know you are going to think I’m crazy) is coming up at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol. Riders in the Sky will be performing on March 27 at 7:30 p.m. I actually just saw them at the Opry in February and they are so much fun! And, they’re actually really good too. (Plus you can’t go wrong with a cactus tie and fuzzy pants.) Regular tickets are $25 or $15 for students. Call the box office at 272-8920 or buy tickets at www.etix.com.
There are actually several good events at the Paramount Center for the Arts in the next few weeks. The annual ETSU Bluegrass Band Concert is this Thursday, March 25 and a performance of “Church Basement Ladies” will take place on Friday. Check out www.theparamountcenter.com for all the info.
As always, I welcome suggestions. Leave a comment here or e-mail me at thegotogal@hotmail.com with your thoughts.
