PTM tonight at chrome. should be a fantastic show as always. They are gearing up for Spring Break in Panama City next week so it should be a great show full of new covers and crazy onstage antics... ah PTM... fantastic band..

Good point Loki. We've had some folks submit music lately and although we really don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, we've got to set some reference point for great acts.

If you've got a band, record your music well. If you want attention, get to work - do the hard things – do the work, play the shows and trust the audience to determine your greatness.

WTF......I've dealt with Capone's on shows on numerous occasions.....not as a musician, but the promotion thereof. They run a tight ship....very professional. I've seen it first hand, many times.

My two cents, if you send a demo that sucks to a venue, your not gonna get booked. And Capone's calender is pretty full.....just look at thier website. So I can see where it might take a minute to get a good band booked into a date. You can't just call 'em up and say you wanna play there and that YOU have a date open this weekend.

Look, if you send a demo for our local and loud feature on Z Rock, and the quality sucks, I can't play it. Once the station processing gets a hold of it, it just makes it sound worse than it is. Same for the clubs, what you send them and the quality of it IS important. That is your first impression. Don't blow it.....be picky about everythng including production. By doing so, it can only make the local music scene better.

And as far as Battle of the Bands: any time you do one of those, there will always be sour grapes coming from somewhere. I'm not a battle of the bands fan. But thats just me.
