Major retailers have stores in all three cities

If you want it, you can probably get it in the Tri-Cities. The region has a variety of shopping complexes, from large enclosed malls to strip centers and freestanding stores.

The largest shopping complex in Kingsport is the Fort Henry Mall, with more than 80 stores in 550,000 square feet of retail space.

Anchored by Sears, JCPenney and Belk, the mall also includes various shops for clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, music and gifts. Stores include American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropostale, Victoria's Secret, Shoozies Birkenstock, Bath & Body, the Deb Shop, Christopher & Banks, C.J. Banks, Justice, Kirkland's, Merle Norman, Kay Jewelers, FYE, Sports Additions, and Waldenbooks.

The Fort Henry Mall features several sit-down restaurants such as Piccadilly, Garfield's, Italian Village, Chick-Fil-A, Charlie's Grilled Subs and Subway.

Wellmont Wellcare also is located in the mall, offering patrons various health-related services.

The newest retail complex in Kingsport is East Stone Commons, a 275,000-square-foot development at the corner of Stone Drive and Eastman Road.

Owner Roger Ball is bringing various retailers to the site, including Hobby Lobby, Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx, Pier One, Goody's, PetSmart, Batteries Plus, Rack Room Shoes and Cingular.

Ball had also lined up restaurants to move into the development, including McAlister's Deli, Chili's, Salsarita's Fresh Cantina, Marble Slab and Cootie Brown's.

Elsewhere in Kingsport, shoppers have their choice of two Wal-Mart supercenters - one on Fort Henry Drive and the other on West Stone Drive.

A Super Kmart is another option on East Stone Drive.

Other shopping destinations in Kingsport include Lowe's, Home Depot, Circuit City and Burlington Coat Factory off Stone Drive.

Fred's offers two locations - one in the Green Acres Shopping Center on Eastman Road and another off Fort Henry Drive in Colonial Heights. And Big Lots is located in the Southland Shopping Center off Fort Henry Drive.
A short distance away, shoppers can visit Hamrick's at Exit 69 off Interstate 81. And located just down the interstate at Exit 66 is a shopping complex that includes the Carolina Pottery and Tri-City Cinema.

In Johnson City, shoppers can visit the Mall at Johnson City, with 575,000 square feet of retail space under one roof on North Roan Street. It features about 80 stores, including Sears, JCPenney, Belk, Goody's, The Gap and Gap Kids, Express, Abercrombie & Fitch, Champs, Gymboree, Pacific Sun, The Buckle, Limited Too, Kirkland's, White Barn Candle Co., Hollister, Wet Seal, Nord's Games, Rack Room Shoes, Motherhood Maternity, Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Gadzooks, Victoria's Secret, and Hot Topic.

The Mall at Johnson City also offers sit-down dining at Ruby Tuesday, as well as a food court featuring various restaurants and seating for 400 patrons. For more information about the Mall at Johnson City, visit mallatjohnsoncity.com.

On North Roan Street in Johnson City, shoppers can visit various stores, including Toys “R” Us, Target, TJ Maxx, Books-A-Million and Pier One Imports.

Various shopping opportunities also are available in northwest Johnson City off State of Franklin Road. Here, shoppers can choose from Home Depot, Lowe's, Circuit City, Stein Mart, Old Navy, PetSmart, Michael's, Ross, Super Kmart, Wal-Mart, Chico's, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Kohl's and Lifeway Christian Store. Mahoney's and Mahoney's Outfitters are also located in Johnson City for folks who love the outdoors.

In Bristol, Tenn., shoppers can visit a Wal-Mart along Highway 11W. Most of the retail centers in Bristol are on the Virginia side of the state line. Those centers include the Bristol Mall and various shopping complexes at Exit 7 off Interstate 81.

And in Rogersville, shoppers will find a Wal-Mart Supercenter.
