Tom Gray and Mark Johnson first met in an Atlanta music store. When Gray tried to sell Johnson a Dobro guitar out of the trunk of his car, the girl with Johnson started whispering, “Let’s get out of here.” Johnson didn’t buy the guitar, but he and Gray exchanged phone numbers. Soon the two were getting together regularly, Gray playing lap steel with Johnson on bottleneck slide guitar.
Out of the hills of East Tennessee comes one of the most hard driven bands around. Wide open country music is the best way to put it. With a combined 20+ years of smokin' the band stand this is the way country should be played. Catch them if you can.
