Bluegrass on Broad is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever. The summer concert series will kick off its 2008 season of toe-tapping music in downtown Kingsport on Friday with a performance by the Fall Creek Band. Started in 2004 by Tom Keller of TK’s Big Dogs, the series is a testament to the genre’s enduring appeal, spotlighting everyone from bluegrass standard-bearers like Papa Joe Smiddy to youthful upstarts such as the Midnight Ramblers and Adam Larkey.
