I'm not much for Latin metal, but anyone who travels the Buzz may have noticed throughout my posts of the past that my favorite American band is Los Lobos, who may be one of the finest groups of musicians to ever play together. Great players, great songs, great music, and great vibes. They run the gamut from heavy to soft, from traditional to experimental, funky to country. They can play it all, and play it all very, very well.
If you don't have any Los Lobos, then get some. Listen to it and let it sink in. It is what music is all about. And therefore, what life is all about. Or so says me. Thanks.

I agree. Los Lobos are wonderful. I had the pleasure seeing them at the Orange Peel a couple of years ago.
I have heard some Latino metal. I don't remember who I saw; it was on some dish channel, but for the most part all the bands I saw were as potent as any Euro American metal. _________________ http://www.reverbnation.com/markmahoney |

| You guys should get some Angra! Angra is a Brazilian Band that kills. Another is Tribuzy.....although you don't get a latin feel from Tribuzy like you do in Angra. |

If I want to hear heavy Latin sounds, I guess I would try the Mars Volta. Especially Frances the Mute. For good rock sounds with a Hispanic feel, check out The Plugz, The Cruzados, and Tito and Tarantula - all fronted by Tito Larriva. Tito has appeared in several movies as well, and supplied the soundtrack to From Dusk Till Dawn, appearing with his band Tarantula as the band in the Titty Twister scenes.
Check out some Tito Larriva, he's good stuff. _________________ "There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life." -- ZAPPA |

| Yeah Ankla is one of my favorite bands. Ankla guitarist, Ramon Ortiz was the old guitarist from Puya. Steep Trails is a very good record. Their new stuff just came out, I like Steep Trails better......... |

Stick to this list, hell yeah that is some great bands, espically The Ordher.
Add Nephsath to the top of that list. Great band, The Ordher is made up of members of both Rebaelliun and Nephsath. _________________ www.myspace.com/aggressivemeasures |
