Kingsport Fire Department
The mission of the Kingsport Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the citizens and visitors of the City of Kingsport. This shall be accomplished through vigorous fire prevention, public education, fire suppression, advance life support, training and maximum use of available resources in the mitigation of disasters.

Kingsport Police Department
The Kingsport Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency providing police field services twenty-four (24) hours a day. The department is authorized 99 sworn police officer positions, and a civilian support staff of 43 full-time members and 15-part-time members. Included in the support staff is the citys E-911 Central Dispatch Emergency Communication Center which provides call taking and dispatch service for police. fire and EMS needs, and after-hour utility emergencies.
