Bears and Brunch: a painting workshop with Tiffani Mensch @ Historic Ramsey House

Bears and Brunch with Tiffani Mensch, Saturday, August 29 10 am-1 pm Learn to paint the fun and easy way at Historic Ramsey House and create a beautiful masterpiece to hang in your home or give as a gift. It could even be a great present for the mama bear in your life!

We’ll provide the coffee and pastries, you bring your favorite beverage. (Mimosas, anyone?) Bring a friend or make a friend!

Woodworking Workshop with Hal Galbraith @ Historic Ramsey House

Woodworking Workshop with Hal Galbraith October 3, 10 am to 2 pm
Join Master Woodworker, Hal Galbraith, for a fascinating look into how fine furniture was created in the 1800’s. Participants will receive an introduction to hand tool care and use, which includes saws, planes, and chisels. During the four hour workshop, participants will tour the beautiful Historic Ramsey House, while Mr. Galbraith discusses the making of Duncan Phyfe Klismos side chairs. Reservations required.

Tickets: $35 (includes boxed lunch) or $30 for Historic Ramsey House members Reservations are required.

About Hal Galbraith:
Attended Wendell Castle Workshop (1983-84), Cabinetmaker at The Farmer’s Museum in Cooperstown NY (1985-86), (1984-1999) Studio furniture and architectural woodworking business, Cooperstown, NY. Designed and executed a postmodern sideboard for the Ohio Federal Reserve Bank, and showed work at the Merrit Gallery in Rochester NY, Milliken Gallery in NY, NY, Gallery 53 in Cooperstown, NY, Cooperstown Art Association, and SUNY Albany. Twice participant in Masters Woodworking Show in Knoxville TN. Won Best in Show 2017. Juried member of ETWG (East Tennessee Woodworkers Guild). Has given lectures and workshops on care and use of woodworking hand tools at the Farmer’s Museum, own Studio, for ETWG at Arrowmont retreat and at the Ramsey House in Knoxville TN, juror for the 20th Master woodworkers show, Knoxville, TN, November, 2019.
